Have you tried reprogramming ACC (auto climate control)? Maybe it was programmed with the defroster on?
1. Set up the ACC the way you want it to come up every time you start your car.
2. Press and release the top-right and bottom-right buttons ("Defrost" and "Vent") simultaneously. The ACC panel will flash once indicating that the program is set.
note: you need to press both buttons at exactly the same time or it won't work. Also you will need to shut off the car for 10-15 minutes for the settings to work. Also if you drive your car and change your settings (like adjust the temp up or down) it will not go back to your programmed settings until the car has been off for 10-15 minutes (I cant remember the exact time). That way if you just run into the store or stop for gas, the ACC will start at the last setting you had.
