Head gasket quandry - Aero

So I have a slight coolant leak in #4 cylinder (02 Aero 93K A/T). And to add to that a slight oil weep which I think is the crank pulley gasket and/or oil pump.
The coolant leak in #4 is enough that occasionally I get a hard start when warm and loose about 1/8 of cup of coolant every 2 weeks or so. My indie is trying to convince me to use bars leak for the head gasket and just fix the oil weep. I've used bars leak with good success on my 1988 9000T (bad heater core), and not that I want to spend $1200 on a new head gasket for a car with 93K it seems like the way to go. I do plan on keeping the car for at least another year or so. Thoughts?
