Windshield brand and rain sensor.

I'm back again. Finally getting my car fixed from rock being tossed off overpass. Hood getting fixed and windshield. Got OK'ed to get SAAB OEM glass but Dealer wants $670 - no breaks for the shop. So I asked for PPG/PGW as recommended here and the glass shop (Action Glass) checked all over - none available. They did find a Pilkington, however. Thinking of telling them to go ahead with Pilkington as I only hope it's harder than SAAB Sekurit glass? Mine was badly pocked at 45K miles and now at 90K, when driving into the sun is almost impossible to see out. Also hoping the rain sensor will work with Pilkington glass. Any thoughts before I tell them to go ahead with aftermarket Pilkington?
