I leave the liners in and just use a floor jack under the engine.
It is a little bit tricky to get the belt down between the liner and crank pulley and you need to get it up on high end to pass through.
The middle idler is a PITA and if you want to go the extra mile or maybe combine the work, it is easier if you loosen/replace the transmission mount at the same time so that you can scoot over the engine a little bit more to the left.
That will give you some extra working space to get the idler pulley on there.
