Having bought the exact same car at the end of the '04 model year - a car that has also been sitting on the lot for a while, I would also recommend replacing the tranny fluid in addition to the brake. In order to completely replace the tranny fluid you have to drop and fill at least 3x. Instructions on how are available elsewhere in the BB. You will notice that once you do. Shudder at idle suddenly disappears. Use Mobil ATF 3309 to get the best results. Also in line with what Stephen points out Saab/GM/Dexcool coolant only lasts about 5 yrs. and then you're really on your own. Careful listeners will be able to hear some quiet gurgling at that point. You should then replace it ASAP.
Btw, congrats on the deal of the decade as you swapped a car with major issues (engine sludge, etc.) with a car that only requires regular maintenance!
