Mine are slotted, and I don't know how well resurfacing would go. They are in really great shape! Never driven in the winters, no rust, very nicely used. I'm only replacing the pads since I guess I brake hard and they are wearing down (I got the genuine Saab ATE non-akebono pads. I think these are softer pads than the new akebonos).
I'm starting to think I should simply get new rotors. It's expensive and all, but I'm a big believer in "do it once, do it right." I'll be doing this myself, most likely so labour isn't an issue.
So, can a slotted rotor be machined? How much does it cost to get this done?
Thanks! Bender.
