The other tech post I mentioned, after he installed a used ABS hydraulic unit, he got C-0551 as well and one of the responses was that he had not configured the used ABS module properly.

The problem here though and what John hints at too, from the way that the tech wrote his post, we can read between the lines that he is not fully fluent in Saab, Tech 2 and programming being both SPS and regular coding so if that's the case, we cannot know if they are on the right track or not.

But as you can see, I myself is in a pickle with a similar problem where my Saab literature hints at replacing a $950.00 Yaw rate sensor but my gut feeling is saying replacing a ABS module for $1400.00 which is also a one year only module since 02-04 use one and 06 yet another.

So until I have some serious commitment from the customer, I cannot dig any further.

What would be of interest in your case is if the shop would have a good used ABS module to swap in for awhile, that would maybe be the quickest and cheapest way to find the problem.

And don't rely too much on BBA since they only repair what they know and what fails normally. Until we start to see a slew of similar codes and problems, they might not want to stick their heads out if they don't know what's going on.

Don't know how long you have been reading this board but it is several posts from years back about failed rebuilds by just about all of the re builders out there before they started to get a hang of it. Now it seems that he regular rebuilds work every time.
