I have the latest update in there. I installed it when rebuilding the engine. I replaced all the seals, etc. and the car went for a few hundred miles seemingly drip free. I've probably brought this up before but I'm eliminating all other possibilities before diving into what seems to be the inevitable. I have a relatively bad leak (about 1/4 - 1/2 liter) that has all but been isolated to the rear (flywheel) main seal. I replaced that thing. I'm not new to this game and I can't think of what I could have done wrong but the stains on the driveway and the smell of burnt oil is getting to be too much. The funny thing is that it really doesn't seem to leak all the time. I can take a short trip across town and smell it burning. Then drive back and have nothing... or the other way around. I never see anything drip while the car is just idling, and nothing seems to increase as the RPMs increase but put under load it will drench the bottom of the engine and the flex part of the exhaust. COuld this POSSIBLY be a PCV issue? Is there anyway to test the system just to be sure?
Thanks folks.
Dan
