I buy new zero hour center sections.
It's not too bad a job, once the complete turbo is out of the car put it in a vice and using a straight edge, draw a line with a sharpie across the housings on each side of the center section, using one of the oil or coolant openings for reference, (I do two to be safe), then you undo the bolts on the exhaust side, these are the toughest to remove, they tend to shrink below 10mm from rust, I now use heat and vice grips to crack them free and just replace them.
Once those are out, wiggle,(or tap with a plastic mallet) the center section to free it from the cast housing
Next is the 6 bolts on the aluminum housing, very easy to take out.
Reuse the large o-ring, reassemble everything loosely, line it up to your marks and tighen it down, reinstall in the car.
I squirt some oil in the oil intake fitting of the center section to be sure it starts with oil on the bearings, then to be really sure it's primed with oil, I remove the fuel pump fuse, dicsonnect the DIC, remove the spark plugs, and crank the engine until the oil light goes out.
Some people replace the oil inlet tube to the turbo to be sure it's clean, it's also a good idea to replace the oil and filter.
