My dealer confirmed it is not there Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Fri, 29 Oct 2010 06:36:20 In Reply to: Still trailer plug in '07?, aerod, Thu, 28 Oct 2010 20:10:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I haven't looked yet because my dealer confirmed it is not there.
So, the list of things I've discovered have been deleted on the post 2006 Saab 9-5's are:
Inboard halogen headlights
Trailer wiring harness connector
One backup light - have you noticed you can't see a darned thing behind your car when you're backing up at night? That's because there's only a right side backup lamp and it's woefully ineffective.
Also, it is impossible to change the Xenon headlight bulbs without removing the front bumper cover and the headlight assemblies. This should be criminal. Seriously; it's the most potentially unsafe, dangerous thing I've ever seen on any car I've owned, Saab or otherwise. The DS1 bulb is notoriously unreliable. To think I could lose both lamps while driving my child somewhere at night and not be able to change them is downright scary. In the pre-2006 9-5's (I've owned 2) it is a piece of cake to carry a spare DS1 bulb in the car and change it in 5 minutes or less.
