Regular oil changes (I recommend 5K miles) using only a full synthetic oil is mandatory. Updates to the PCV system should have been performed - I remember installing three different updates on my car until Saab finally got the problem corrected in 2003/2004.
I have 288,000+ miles on my 2000 Sedan so these cars can run a long time, but I recommend having the sump dropped to inspect for sludge if the car doesn't come with a detailed service record.
BTW - replacing the serpentine belt is a regular maintenance item at 60K miles.
