I am happy with Monroe if you don't want any type of super performance. Save tons of $$s and seem to work fine. I have three 9-5 s with front and back Monroe, so far so good. Also for the wagon, you will have to check the ride height and I also recommend putting in new springs (yes, the OEMs are not the best, but better than the ones that are in there now) and then with the new shocks and springs, measure the ride height. If still low, put in lifts to bring the wagon back to height if there is no glaring issue with other rear suspension parts. You can see the link for more information. Had to do this on 2 9-5 wagons, 1999 and 2001. Ride height right on now with 1.5" lifts if I remember correctly.
