If the battery is new or relatively so check for corrosion, white /green build up, at the battery end of the positive lead [red] at the battery and at the starter terminals . This can cause problems. Batteries can have internal failures, even new ones. From your post, is seems the battery did not provide many start attempts.I put an over sized battery in my 9.5 and have had not problems re starting since. Eliminating the battery as the problem is the first step. Using a known good battery listen for the fuel pump to run for a few seconds after turning the key to "on" not the "start" position. It should run for few seconds then shut off as the fuel delivery system comes up to pressure. If there is no sound this is the likely source of your problem. Check the fuse if good check the wiring at the the pump for solid connection and with a meter see if voltage is present.hope this helps.cheers Doug
