All:

Realistcally, I'm quite certain any aerodynamic gains attributable to a rear spoiler on a wagon may only be measurable well above the speeds I normally drive! So high speed stability is not my main goal.

I honestly want one for the aesthetic look... adds to the sleekness of the 9-5 wagon lines. Sort of completes it's profile in my mind.

I was hoping the spoiler would also help in a small way to keep the rear window cleaner, but I appreciate all the honest feedback indicating any improvement in that regard, if at all, is not dramatic.

I also found the Hirsch style spoiler at State of Nine. It does not have the center suppoet and looks to be a bit higher. I can see how that might interfere with longer roof rail loads when hatch is opened. but a almost $800 plus painting, it's a non-starter for me. The spoiler at Genuinesaab.com is not cheap at $406 US but may be a consideration at least.

I found a you-tube clip showing a black carbon fibre "copy" of both spoilers. Taken on somebody's kitchen floor and I can here a female voice faintly in the background speaking Chinese I think. I suspect it's a remnant from an eBay auction. I'd like carbon fibre but can't find it listed there now. However, did find a seller in Poland listing a paintable look-alike wagon (estate) spoiler w/center support for about $82 US plus shipping!!

Thanks again,
Reg
