So what John Myers is saying is that the motor is recieving current even though it is not spinning due to the stuck wipers, and doing so until the overheat circuit kicks in and shuts it down? Maybe true but given the number of people that probably do this on a daily basis, you would think there would be some kind of clutch built into the mechanism.
You said to just turn them on momentarily to check, you cannot do that because they have to cycle through one full sweep before shutting off,remember?
