My FRONT tires looked like this. No so the rear but my rear tires were
eaten by the toe being out in the rear. Replaced trailing arm bushing and
now the rear toe is fine. The rear camber is still quite negative (-1.3?) on
the rear of my aero but I don't think my rear camber is eating my tires..its
the front.
My shop says front wishbone bushings and subframe bushings will help the front wear. I have not done the front yet but have had it aligned (no toe). The front still wore on the inner edge so its definitely camber.
I'm going to replace the front control arm/wishbone bushings when I get tires.. But if my front camber is still negative (-1.3?) I think my options are:
a.) Camber bolts
b.) Enlargeing the strut bolt hole.
c.) New struts and springs. (the springs are sagged from 100Kmiles).
Sadly, i think my alignment shop and saab shop will say c. This may be
true but its sad that the alignment can't be adjusted to deal with the spring sag. I've heard here also that just new struts sometimes raises the height to deal with this?
I read about the rear height raisers and shims..they all make sense. But
for the front suspension I have not read such things.
So I'll start with my worn front control arm bushings...but I have not read here that they help front camber.
