I just pulled the oil pan of our, from the start, 2004 9-5 Aero about 136,xxx (Mobil 1oil). VERY minor clogging on the pickup screen (about 8%). Some beginning signs of sludge. Maybe it wasn't even sludge (dark brown oil that took longer to run down into oil canister). This was the first time for me so I don't have a comparison to go by.
Exhaust CAT and pipes were OEM from start.
Stay away from that mechanic. Let him/her experiment on own car.
