First of all, it's not a station wagon, it's a SPORT wagon! I had two hatchbacks prior to my new Aero, and I loved them because they were so versatile. My husband has an Acura 3.2TL and you can't fit anything in it. Speaking of stuff from Home Depot, we bought a chop saw and tried to get the box into his car (trunk, back seat, front seat), couldn't get it in. Had to return it, go home for the Saab, and buy it again. I could have fit five of them in my hatchback. We moved recently, and you wouldn't believe how much stuff fit in the back with the seats down (the wagon will hold even more!). I did not even consider a sedan of any kind this time (that's why I was looking at a few smaller SUV's). Every once in awhile we buy something too big, but that's what delivery is for. I never thought I would be driving a wagon, but the versatility is a major factor. It's also a blast to drive. We also have bikes and kayaks that we put on top. The SUV's are just too tall to be practical with this. Good luck!
