It is $2-300.00 video scopes out there nowadays that works well. I have one.
I have been able to go up past the baffle plate and look at one cylinder liner from drain hole.
It is though not even enough clearance to get my coat hanger wire in under the oil pickup screen and oil pan and since the screen is also bowed upwards, you would not be able to extract any dirt doing that.
If you want to mess with it without dropping the oil pan, you could pull the oil pump out and blow air and carb cleaner through the suction pipe and hope to blow kernels out the drain hole but that is a hit and miss thing and still quite a bit of labor.
