I have to spend some timeunder the hood Posted by adl6009 [Email] (#2526) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adl6009) on Wed, 23 Feb 2011 11:13:10 In Reply to: v6 head gasket porocedure, adl6009 [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 23 Feb 2011 07:51:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a copy of the WIS but it's on my old computer, I will have to resurrect it one of these days. From Larry's comments it sounds like I'll be doing most of the work required for a timing belt. This is what I was afraid of. I would not mind unbolting and scraping off the old gasket but setting up the timing of the camshafts may be beyond my expertise. Not to mention my tool box. It would be nice if I could retorque the head and close the leak, but that doesn't sound likely. As far as the suggstion about the oil cooler, I don't know. I am waiting for warmer weather so I can spend a little time under the hood looking around without freezing to death.
