The car is still smoking so much I can't really drive it around.
After cleaning up the inside of the manifold (I removed the Throttle body to access it), I still have a huge amount of smoke coming after a very short while - the intake pipe is clean (ie meaning no issue with turbo seals); since the car was not smoking at first when I started it this morning, it points to a 'structural' problem ie not something that will be solved by driving around for a while; in other words, oil is still being pulled in.
What could cause the oil to get to the intake manifold in enough quantity to smoke that much ?
Right now, only 1 item come to mind as the possible cause:a bad PCV , but I can't figure out the logic behind the PCV sending oil to the intake manifold though.
I am ruling out bad valve seals (the 4 plugs are oily, no way seals would go bad on all cylinders at once) and bad rings (for the same reason as above)-also, there is no reason why bad seals or rings would throw oil back to the intake.
If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated, as I said at his point I am stuck with no car.
Thx
