'03 aero, ticking/strange noise, washer fluid leak Posted by jgARC03SW [Email] (#1216) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jgARC03SW) on Mon, 28 Mar 2011 08:53:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I bought an 03 aero wagon which may replace or just complement my arc wagon and I'm waiting to get it registered, seller took a while getting the title and now I am just waiting to meet up and finally take ownership officially. I fixed the window rollers on this car, not my Arc that's I've had for 3 years now.
Anyway I have been running the engine and moving it a few inches in the driveway once a week and last night it started fine but then started ticking after it warmed up a bit. I opened the hood and it was not obvious where the sound was coming from, I heard it from the left side of the car when exiting, and when opening the hood the engine sound just masked it.
Also the SID said to refill washer fluid and I see it has leaked out slowly out of a small hole in the reservoir. Can I seal this with silicone or something else? Or should I just (maybe ask the seller to since it is still technically his car!!) spend $100 for a new reservoir bottle?
