Definitely worth doing. At nine years old I'm sure the original PCV workings on your car are severely degraded.
You have to do most of it from under the car so get some trusty jack stands or ramps. Be prepared to get your hands very dirty. In my experience the old hoses fall apart in your hands and there's usually some oil caked around the areas. Invest in some Gojo. Having a friend up above to grab/feed hoses is very helpful too.
You should really drop the oil pan too to make sure the pickup screen is healthy.
