Did it about 3 years ago. The Nordic E-85 ECU, in my 04 Linear.
Additional horsepower, no hesitation issues.
If I'm getting out on the highway and cruising, it has very little effect on milage, I've gotten as high as 30MPG, average on the road about 25-26, about a 10-15% drop. Short trips and mixed ( I have a 1/2 mile drive to work) see a much higher loss of milage, probably 20-25%.
What year/model do you have? I'm in the process of buying an 08 T, and this ECU won't work in it. I plan on putting the factory ECU back into the car prior to sale.
I usually figure if E-85 is over 20% less than gas, I'm better than break-even.
My guess is if you drive with your foot on the floor you'll see a larger loss of milage.
I was told that at cruise, the trionic can advance the timing much more than normal without knock, burning almost the same amount of fuel, but more efficiently. Under heavy acceleration, the engine can boost higher, but requires a much higher volume of fuel.
