I noticed that this xenon thread would be a great place to suggest everyone grab a drill, a beer and set aside some time to polish your lenses using a headlight restoration kit.
Talk about an improvement in beam dispersion, cut off and brightness!
I used the 3M kit and my cordless drill to do mine. I thought I would screw it up after reading the instructions (they're simple but warn of "burn spots") well, I did both lenses, first time doing this and they came out great. I think I had enough polish paste and pads left over for another application even though I was generous and thorough during this use.
I say go for it! The car looks so much better and younger with crystal clear polycarbonate covers!
I had flickering lights for quite some time. They'd actually cut out for what felt like a fraction of a second sometimes, when opening closing hood, potholes and just stopped at random lights. Recently, I swapped bulbs for takeoffs from a Cadillac CTS (check my post on color of capsule salts to detemine life of buls) and the flickering has disappeared, leading me to believe it was the bulbs.
Polish those lights! I promise you, you'll be blown away by the result!
When I drive on a highway with a high divider, my beam cutoff is razor sharp!
