- Ignition switch, window controls, and sunroof control moved to center DASHBOARD area, making room for more storage in center console.
- Nicer door pulls.
- 350 HP twin turbo V6, torsen AWD with rear bias in Aero trim.
- Fewer squeaks/rattles, especially in roof.
- 6-speed manual tranny, F1-style paddle shifting tranny as an option.
- Front bolstering in the sport seat a la Viggen. Seats that are more flexible in terms of how far the base can be tilted and lowered (I am 6'3" and I find that in the current setup I have to pull the seat way up so my knees are about 1/2" from the dash in order to get the right level of easy access to the shifter and steering wheel (base of your palms should be able to touch the top of the steering wheel from a properly-adjusted seat position). Also, a steering wheel that can be extended farther from dash).
- Slightly shorter body with a longer wheelbase.
- Closer to 50-50 weight distribution.
- Radar and laser-absorbing body materials.
- In-dash CD changer, factory XM radio, integrated cell phone, nav, Bluetooth, and NO ONSTAR.
- Hood ornament in the style of the leaping Jaguar, but in SAAB's case a griffin sticking his tongue out at oncoming traffic.
