Hoping someone can help me narrow the possibilities.
Intermittent problem (3 times in past 2 weeks) but other times car works absolutely normally....
Insert key, turn "On", then nothing, no dash lights, nothing in SID. I can see the backlight of the heated seat switch is on, but nothing else. Nothing happens when trying to start the engine (no crank).
Crazy symptom #1
One time, left the key in ignition in "On" position while reading codes and a couple of minutes later start-up sequence suddenly came to life (checking...check OK). Car then started and ran normally.
Crazy symptom #2
Waited a while with key in but no start-up sequence. Daughter said turning key with "unlock" button depressed turned the engine, but it wouldn't start. A jump start worked.
Related?
While driving, wife said all dash lights came on, then went off after a while. Car lost power, but still drivable. P1623 and P1625 in OBD reader.
Battery is a few months new.
Recently replaced ABS module.
Cleaned Throttle body, MAF.
Same with both keys
2002 V6 Arc Wagon, auto trans.
Thanks in advance.
