Well, that's where you might run into problems. Can you guarantee that the 05 PCV system will work perfectly trying to rig your 02 PCV system into the different PCV box on the engine block?
The vacuum source for PCV box and whole system is very different in size and where it is hooked up to engine (valve cover versus throttle body).
So if you are going to mix and match between PCV systems you have to know more than what the Saab engineers didn't know back in the days and what started this whole hoopla. Otherwise, it is safer to go with an late 01-03 engine.
