I have a 2000 saab 9-5 wagon. Its the 4 cylinder with an automatic. It has just under 76,000 miles. I have a few problems...
First off the check engine light is on. This is because of some pressure sensor failure in the gas tank, so it thinks my gas cap is off. When I try to push the gas cap on harder I feel like the entire apparatus can move around. My saab guy said the check engine light for this issue is a very common problem so I'm not worried but i wondered if anyone had any ideas as to how to fix this.
Next the mileage for my engine is pretty low. Getting like 17 in the city and about 22 or 23 on the highway. Are these connected? Or could it be I have a sludge problem? Any ideas?
3rd the car seems to vibrate excessively when idling. I could be going nuts but it seems to vibrate more than it should.
Last, the back gate won't stay up under it's own strength, Any ideas?
Thanks! hope someone has some advice for me...
