Son's 2005 has thrown an occasional code.
Replaced the spark plugs (they didn't look too bad), P1312 came back.
Friday, swapped DIC's between it and my 2007.
My car subsequently threw a P1312 and P1334, as did his.
Swapped back yesterday, mine fine today.
His is a TK3.6, mine a TK3.7.
I had read here previous post that putting a 3.6 into a car programmed 3.7 might be enough to throw a code, even with nothing wrong with DIC, so I guess nothing conclusive about the condition of his 3.6.
What about my 3.7 still throwing codes in his car? Is that conclusive that it's some issue OTHER than the DIC? Or is buying a new DIC for his, and then taking into dealer (if codes come back) the next step?
thanks
Ed

p.s.
I applied some Noalox to the DIC terminal plug (not the spark plug boots, used dielectric grease there). As warm as the DIC gets, maybe the Noalox will just melt away, don't know.
