Owner of a 2000 9-5 and hopefully have answers Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: New owner of a 2001 9-5 and have a few questions!, Laurent, Fri, 1 Jul 2011 17:33:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
1) I don't see why not. The non-OnStar antenna will cure the asthetic issue.
2) Have you checked the fuse? Maybe you have a bad switch. The car can be programmed to "auto lock" the doors with use of a Tech-II by a Dealer or Saab Indy Service Tech, but personally I detest auto-locking.
3) Only one rear fog light from the factory as per regulations, I think European regulations. You can add a bulb to the passenger side and it will work since the car is desinged for both RHD and LHD countries.
4) Easy but expensive. Those head lamp wipers cost over $200 each. I disabled mine by disconnecting the electrical harness after both wipers reached their correct parked posittion. Not worth $400 to me to have the wipers functional.
5) Get another key. The Dealer can add the new key to the car's anti-theft system, assuming the car has never had more than three keys programmed previously.
Update the PCV system if not already done. Change your oil at 5K to 6K mile intervals, and ONLY use full synthetic.
