Torque Converter seal replaced now RE-ASSEMBLY

Special thanks to posters Jimmy, Leo, John Myers and es9.
2000 V-6, 130k. Problem found, cracked flex plate (now replaced with a salvage part). Failure wiped the torque converter seal. There was enough "flex" in the bad part to erode and score a few places on the block and skinned a bit off the T/C bolts. Old seal had a metal base, new seals (checked Timken and Federated) do not (?). The T/C rotates and it "feels" like the T/C slots have mated with the output shaft. I have the required 9 mm clearance as shown in WIS step #3. But I notice a bit of wobble with the torque converter. Is this normal? My "assumption' is that the wobble will be eliminated once it is mated back to the flex plate.
Problem. WIS says use tool #8792574 to hold T/C in place for re-assembly. Is there a substitute and what does it bolt to? I will be manhandling the drive unit back in place with muscle and a floor jack. I really do not want the T/C falling back in my face. With the labor needed to take this unit out I really do not want to do it twice.
All replies avidly perused. Thanks, PolarF Bear (PFB).
