Valve body is the same between a 2002 Linear and Aero. Transmissions are different and it is probably geared differently. If that would effect the TCM not recognizing the different gear speeds at each gear selected I don't know but it is a possibility. I have not tried it and I am very hesitant to try things like that due to that very possibility and the labor involved having to redo the job.
The TCM computer is the same between the two when it is Virgin off the shelf but it has to be software coded to a Linear or Aero so that might change the attributes of the TCM so that it would have problems dealing with different gearing, I just don't know.
Sorry, no good answers except swapping the valve bodies if that's the problem to begin with.
