I have a 2000 9.5 2.3t with 16" 10 spoke wheels. I would like to replace them with something more sporty. I've looked around at all sorts of aftermarket websites but still think that the SAAB 17" wheels look the best. Does anyone know if I will have a problem putting 17" wheels and tires on my car? It seems like these wheels and tires will be heavier than the 16". Will this affect my gas mileage or performance? Will it cause any extra strain on the drive train? I have a junky 4x4 that blows through transmissions because the tires are oversized. I don't want to run into the same problem.
