Well, I made my mom a Saab convert by buying her a c900 vert for christmas. Her Honda blew a head gasket recently and she decided she liked my Gary Fisher wagon so much she wanted a wagon as well. I found her a 04 Arc 81k in Polar White and she fell in love.... That is until one day later the alternator died..... Just had it replaced yesterday, I drove it home from the shop in hopes to deliver it to her. The battery light came on AGAIN and the car died AGAIN. Its back at the shop. Faulty alternator? a bigger problem?


Also trying to sort out these things:

The fuse for the radio amp # 23(I think) blew as well after the car died, I replaced it but the radio still doesnt work, the lights dont turn on. Could it be the fuse on the back?

-Since the first alternator died the ACC on start up shows 1 22 on the screen before the fan turns On my Gary Fisher the fault doesnt come on the ACC unless I test for it.

-When the drivers door is open the chime doesnt stop, even when the key isnt in the ignition, open the door and it automatically chimes... its very annyoing.

Other than those things I am impressed with the Arc, and I cant say I like any color better than the Polar White, well, maybe other than the java purply color.


We are now a Saab exclusive Family, my work is done!
