The torque arm goes forward from the transmission to the frame of the car. They have a small rubber busing on the trans and a big one on the front side. Saab has a very soft bushing for the front one with big air gap in it too. Lets the trans move around at idle and other times, but limits the final travel.
The genuine Saab part replace the front rubber bushing with a 2 piece poly one with a metal sleeve in the middle. Makes shifting crisper on the manual as the linkage can't move as much. Does good things for the auto as well.
