I didn't realize that the amp was separate. That explains the similarity of the head units :) It's funny that some listings on ebay specify 150 watt, 7 speaker system or 200 watt 9 speaker system, and one 200 watt unit had a different part number (4616876). That is what was confusing me.
As for my situation, the unit that came with the car doesn't power on at all and the fuse on the back is good. Before they took my old car away, we agreed to take both cars to the Saab dealer and have my old one divorced and then married to the new car. It appeared to work so we let them take it away. However, it only works on start up for about 10 seconds and then goes to "radio locked". They are about 5 hours away and the shop closer to home said that they liekly didn't divorce it properly. At least I know the amp works from those brief 10 seconds intervals and good to know that any 5038138 will do the trick (as long as it has been divorced properly from the previous car).
Thanks for the insights!
