Very tiny screw Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 30 Aug 2011 16:39:06 In Reply to: Re: 9.5 arc auto, gear shift knob removal, Bill, Tue, 30 Aug 2011 13:27:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
In a response to questions regarding how to rmove the automatic gear shift knob to replace the jalousie, John Myers identified the screw as a T10 torx head. I have a ball headed T10 bit and it resembles the cutter my Dentist chucks into his drill to grind out old fillings. It is that tiny!
The latch only drops away from the knob to allow access to this screw in Drive and Neutral positions (IIRC). You didn't say why you need the knob removed, but I followed the lead of others here and snipped one side of my new jalousie so I could wiggle it into position with the knob still installed.
