will a cupped tire continue to cup even if it's put on a properly aligned etc location? Ie would moving from rear (bad) to front (good) result in significant further cupping of the tire on the front? or does that indicate the front is bad also? that was how I took it. It was a front tire that failed. I haven't rotated tires yet (only had the car for about 4k or so)... all 4 tires seem to be wearing (cupping) at the same rate...
fwiw the wheels sold with the car were not stock 16" 2004 Arc 5 spoke wheels (though the forsale photo showed them). It's got 17" 2002 9-3 SE double 3 spoke wheels. makes me wonder if the seller scavenged some used wheels to simultaneously gloss up the car + cover up a tire wear problem... I'm sure I looked carefully at tire wear when I bought it + the photo I've got new had non-evident sag in the rear. not the case now, 4k later!
