The ESP module gets it's main power straight from Maxi fuse #2 so you would disable other things if you pulled it. You could try Fuse 29 in the dash. I'm not certain what else that might feed. The 9-3ss cars run the pump every time you start the car to keep them limber and ready to go. I don't think it will hurt the pump to have it run in short burts. As long as it's not running for minutes at a time, I think it will be ok.
