I did the blend door repair on my car. Took apart both sides. Passenger side was fine except the rod to the upper blend door had come off and I reattached that . Stop arm on drivers side was broken shaft was fine.
I ordered the aluminum stop arm. Had a bear of a time getting the motor reindexed. Put everything back together, re calibrated (Auto and Off) and success no codes. I pushed the defrost everything moved up to the defrosters but the passenger side is still cooler up there. I pushed the button for the footwell and the air was redirected down there, but not cold. I pushed the foot and face together and air came out from both but still warm on the floor ...it seems that everything is working (except i dont know why i get warm air when I push the floor vent button with the AC on)HOWEVER...
The passenger side is blowing cooler than the drivers side. the Drivers is side isn't warm, its just not nice and cold like the passenger side.
Was I supposed to have the stop lever in a certain position when i reassembled the step motor? All the way counter clockwise or clockwise?
Is there some kind of temperature sensor somewhere that could be bad impacting the way air flows?
Is there some other part that affects the temp distribution? Air recirculator motor?
Maybe I just did something wrong...........
Any insights or help are appreciated.....
