I have seen a few of them but its not so common. Have had a few of those 3.7s that just are not up to the task on the high output cars. HP >300 I have gone back to my -01 original in the 500hp Viggen.
You can try the bandaid of tightening the plug gap a bit to .8mm and see if it goes away. If it does then certainly its a weak coil. If it has been under a year then i would try and set up an appointment with a dealer to duplicate it with a test unit and then work through warranty. It is easier with concrete fault codes but should not be impossible if the dealer will work with you and you have the right paperwork.
