Is this on your '00 9-5? (Looked at past posts). If so, chances are a defective fuel filler cap (use OE SAAB) or a defective evap purge valve. With a Tech 2 to manually trigger evap check and purge valve, it can be easily figured out.
No real harm that I am aware of directly related to 0455 long term, it an emissions related code. My main concern with this method is not knowing if a vital/damaging code is set in the mean time such as an mass airflow meter or such. There is only one CEL but it triggers for many many different reasons, some more important than others.
