I too saw the rebate and was in market for new pads for Honda Odyssey (did new Akebono's on SAAB 9-5 a short while back). This van has had Akebono's on front and rear, but pads were near service limit. I bought the Raybestos Premium ceramic pads based upon general description, Raybestos rep, and price. So far the stopping performance on the van has been qualitatively equivalent to Akebono. Can't say yet about wear; dusting has not been noticeably different yet either.
The pads are made in USA. An added appeal to me was that they came with replacement 'slide surface' clips to fit the calipers.
Because I could not see whether I had any serious wear on inside of rotors without taking calipers off, I bought a set of Raybestos Premium rotors at the same time: These vented rotors came 'powder coated' in non-contact areas - I don't recall any origin listed on web site, box says made in China, but machining is very good. I did not install these yet because Brembos on the van were still in good enough shape.
