it goes off on its own is due to components inside the siren unit degrading and failing. The "alarm" is NOT being triggered.
The only solutions are:
1) remove the siren from the car, and leave it out. It is located near the battery, but accessed through the forward part of the left inner fender liner.
2) remove the siren from the car, and have the siren repaired and re-install. See the many posts here regarding that.
3) remove the siren from the car, and buy a new siren and install it. This will cost more than $300.
