An AERO wagon and a 2.3 will be night and day. I recommend you hit a dealer if you can and drive a linear. The performance will be a lot closer. I have a sedan and a wagon, both 2.3 with manual transmission. Even with the car loaded with luggage and the dog, it still moves pretty well. I would ask about the ECU replacement (recalled on most 99's). I also had the ACC control panel replaced under warranty for a computer problem. Otherwise my 99 sedan has been trouble free for three years now.
