I know this has been addressed but I could not find this exact situation:
1999 9-5 SE LPT Sedan
Have to reseal the WP coolant pipe as have slow leak from the block/coolant pipe to pump area again. since I recall having to loosen all the turbo coolant lines on both ends of the lines to get the pump out, I plan to again install all new copper seal washers as well.
Here's where I have a problem from last time. as I recall and according to the diagrams on eEuro there are 7 total copper seals item#12 (PN#92150435) and 1 larger Geniune Saab copper seal item#24 (PN#11066422).
This is what I ordered last time around but the seal on the inside WP side of that banjo bolt when I removed the line was a copper with a rubber insert. and the $5 larger copper seal was not the correct size (or at least seemed too large). I could not find a good size locally that would fit both ID and OD for this so I ended up reusing the copper/rubber one as it was in good condition. I am afraid it may not be this time and would like to replace it with same or copper-only. Both NAPA and Advance locally didnt have one that would fit even in copper-only no insert.
I also just called the Saab dealer and that PN#11066422 was also a copper-only larger seal. I am afraid it will probably not fit either.
anyone got a PN or other idea on where to get the proper size on the inside WP side of that banjo bolt?
or maybe exact PN list you ordered/used for your WP job?
I need to have all the right parts as I cannot afford to have it ripped apart for a week. I need to get it completely done on a weekend. THANKS!
also, I used pure petroleum jelly last time on the o-rings. is there something better? wondering if this is why it is leaking again only after 18 months?
