sway bar links - alignment needed?

2004 9-5 arc just north of 80k miles
doing my front shocks. following fixmysaab photo diary + it's going great (a couple tips: swaybar bolt it's 17mm inside, 19mm outside, was able to gun all nuts off with an electric impact wrench, the 2 big bolts tap out easily with a hammer, would not turn as he described)...
anyway... havn't noticed any clunks typical of a bad link, but the rubber seal on the lower part of one of the links is crackly... should I replace it now, or, can it wait... ie: I'm going to need to do a new alignment because of the shocks... if I do the swaybars later, do they require alignment also, or is it just a swap? if I don't *need* to do them now, I'd wait as I'm pressed for time... but I'd avoid paying for 2 alignments close together if possible!
also, where are people getting the moog links that are supposedly superior to the oem ones? can you post a link?
thanks!
James...
