Why would I get single burst of smoke after oil change?

Perfectly good engine and turbo (2.3lpt), in my brief experience, with this 1999 9-5. I,ve changed the oil on many 9-5's over 10 years, and never experienced this.
But, I dumped in the 5 quarts of M1 0W-40 in normal fashion, and started her up.
There was an immediate huge puff of blue smoke out the exhaust...about the same as when I had a turbo leaking out of the bearing on the exhaust side (different car).
I mean, the puff was about twice the size of the car! Then it was gone.
I drove for 12 miles, and then the next morning started it up, and there was a very small puff of smoke.
I drove for 90 miles with no issues.
The next morning (very cold...22 degrees F), there was no smoke at all. There hasn't been any since. The exhaust is completely clear on startup.
Oil filter showed some minor sludge bits, but I could still see light through it with a flashlight.
So, is there any way oil could get into the turbo intake or exhaust during the "dump in " phase.
The car has been perfect for the last 3 days, but I am concerned that maybe the turbo is going, or the valve seals are leaking.
It uses only a quart of synthetic in 4000 miles...not bad for 262k miles!
Any ideas!
Thanks in advance!
Craig
