On our 2004 SAAB 9-5 Aero Kombi Man. I received the Time for Service message. I pressed CLEAR for a couple of seconds with the backup alarm going crazy (I was in gear REVERSE), as in something is behind the car (since the garage door was closed, which is normal) and I saw on the SID (and heard) that now the backup sensors ARE off. Press the CLEAR button again and now I could turn them back on (and the noise follows).
Sharing because I did not know they could be turned off.
I also cleared the Time For Service message by going out of gear and holding CLEAR button until it reads service and two chimes are heard.
Cheers!
